When Love's a Stranger

lyrics

There’s a certain type of pain
A definite danger
When loves gone away
And made you a stranger

I’ve put up walls of doubt
Wondered what I did, when this change occurred
Shivered out in the cold, exposed,
Without loves warmth to savor

I’ve acted out, put my arms around
Many a stranger
But with each one I was let down, cause I never found
The one I was made for

I’ve fought a bout, and wandered around
I’ve Been a lone ranger
But it gets so lonesome weary without that whispered sound, “My love”
That longed for nomenclature

The only remedy I’ve found
To ease this dreadful nature
Is with laughter and friends and light of heart
To accept your stature

as a bit far from love and still a stranger

But spring will come and you’ll open up
Inside that light you were made for
Once again so bright and full of love
And warmth to bask and savor

Once again so bright and full of love
No more a stranger
